Proper execution of liquidity events is crucial for boards, shareholders and business owners. Often private or smaller public companies do not have the in-house expertise or bandwidth to adequately plan, explore, evaluate and manage major strategic events, such as a potential sale of the company. AAG can substantial value (and save costs) by getting involved early, ideally before investment bankers are engaged, to assist in the planning and serve as the owner’s advocate throughout the process. In this role, AAG not only adds another set of eyes to monitor the process for the company, but also can relieve principals of much of the time burden associated with these events, by assisting in hiring and managing investment bankers and attorneys, interacting with the other side through due diligence, and generally serving as the owners’ representative throughout the sale process.
